Journal
Journal is my intimate record of my life. I keep my journal with me wherever I go. I like to draw different things inside my journal such as ideas for paintings, concept for my design works or most of time sketches from my observation.
Materials
I always bring black and red ball point pen, and a white-out that I can spend almost a day to draw and observe. The sketchbooks I like to use sketchbooks that are made from Canson and Moleskine companies because they produce good quality paper and texture to draw on and great for collages too. Plus some scrap paper here and there.
Inspiration
My inspiration is come from observation of my daily life. I find it very fascinating about the subtlety of daily life stuffs. I use my drawing tools as if photographers use their cameras to captain the moment of life. My favorite place to go to draw are often in Starbucks and Peet's Coffee because people are usually relaxed and act very naturally there which interests me.
Technique
Using pen & ink drawing and collage technique to express my immediate reaction towards reality. This is the way that I can intensify the visual content and make it more interesting to look at and more meaningful to me.
